Sawtooth Analytics ("we," "us," or "our") operates LocateGuard (locateguard.io), an AI-powered 811 dig ticket analysis and AR utility-locating platform (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our Service. By using LocateGuard, you consent to the practices described herein.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Account Information
When you create an account, we collect your email address. Authentication is handled via magic link through our authentication provider (Supabase). We do not store passwords.
2.2 Payment Information
Payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or other sensitive payment information on our servers. We may store a Stripe customer ID and subscription status.
2.3 Dig Ticket Data
We collect and store 811 dig ticket text and PDF documents that you upload for AI-powered analysis. This data may include addresses, utility information, excavation details, and any other content present in your tickets.
2.4 Location Data
With your permission, we collect precise GPS coordinates from your device. This data is used for AR flag placement, map display, and is stored alongside your ticket data to provide location-based services.
2.5 Camera Data
When using the AR field mode on mobile devices, we access your device camera to render augmented reality overlays. Camera feeds are processed locally on your device and are not transmitted to or stored on our servers.
2.6 Usage Data
We may collect information about how you interact with the Service, including pages visited, features used, timestamps, device type, browser type, and operating system.

- To perform AI-powered analysis of your dig tickets using Anthropic's Claude API
- To display your data on maps using ArcGIS/Esri mapping services
- To process payments and manage subscriptions via Stripe

- To communicate with you about your account or the Service

4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services to operate LocateGuard. Each has its own privacy policy governing the use of your data:
- Supabase — Authentication and database hosting
- Stripe — Payment processing and subscription management
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI-powered ticket analysis
- ArcGIS / Esri — Mapping and geospatial services
- Railway — Backend API hosting
- Vercel — Web application hosting
When we send your dig ticket data to Anthropic for AI analysis, the data is transmitted securely and processed in accordance with Anthropic's data usage policies. We recommend reviewing each provider's privacy policy for details on how they handle data.
5. Cookies and Local Storage
We use minimal cookies. Supabase sets session cookies to maintain your authenticated state. We may also use local storage for theme preferences and application state. We do not use third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
6. Data Retention
We retain your account information, dig ticket data, and associated GPS coordinates for as long as your account is active. Upon account deletion, we will delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law. Anonymized or aggregated data that cannot identify you may be retained indefinitely.
7. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data. All data is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS and encrypted at rest in our database systems. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Request a copy of your data in a portable format
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Withdraw consent for data processing (which may affect Service functionality)

10. Children's Privacy
LocateGuard is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, we will take steps to delete such information promptly.
